About Me
Hi,
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at 42 - let’s just say, I didn’t exactly handle it with Zen-like grace. What started as an exploration of my diagnosis quickly turned into a space where I rant, swear and ask the big, existential what-the-actual-f**k questions about life with a degenerative disease.
As a woman, mother, writer, and artist, I share my experiences navigating a reality where no two days are the same and putting on socks feels like an Olympic event.
When the days get tough, I rely on humour, creativity, and, let’s be honest—wine. Lots of wine. And did I mention the swearing?
So, welcome to Handshake. Let’s connect, commiserate and celebrate the messiness of it all.
with love

This hub typically doesn’t share medical institutions or charities unless there is a particular community leaning. This space desires to amplify individual voices via our personal stories and experiences. Occasionally, however, I feel there is a very real benefit from sharing a specific page.
