Hello lovelies,
Time is weird. One minute, I’m having my coffee, the next, I blink, and somehow three hours have vanished. Did I nap? Did I just stare into space? Who knows.
Parkinson’s has given me a special ability: time travel (sort of). I’ll say something, convinced it was days ago—turns out, it was an hour ago. Or I’ll check the clock, register a time, and completely ignore the hours in between. It’s like my brain is running on a delay, but no one gave me a heads-up.
Sleep deprivation doesn’t help. I grab 10 minutes here, 30 minutes there, like a magpie hoarding shiny objects. And chronic pain? It blurs time even more. Yesterday feels like today, last week might have been a month ago. Everything melts into a soup of “wasn’t that just…?”
The world, unfortunately, runs on a stricter schedule. Kids need food, dogs need walks, life marches on. And yet, Parkinson’s makes me question if I even care. But time still moves, wrinkles still form, and somehow, I must stay anchored to the good bits.
So, if you also experience time-warping, let’s compare notes—assuming I remember posting this.
