The Parkinson’s Project
“The Parkinson's Project follows climber and teacher Chris Hamper as he faces the challenges of Parkinson’s disease. Despite tremors and a loss of motivation, climbing remains one of the few things that ease his symptoms. As he nears the end of the disease’s "honeymoon" phase, Chris retires early to fully embrace his passion for climbing in Norway and Sheffield. This inspiring documentary showcases his relentless determination to push past limitations and live life on his own terms. Directed by Sheffield filmmaker Jess James.”
“And we want to hear more stories like this... Perhaps you, or someone you know, has their own experience with Parkinson's disease that you feel would make a great (short) documentary. If so, and you are happy to share, please provide details with us below. We then hope to reach out to a small number of participants for further discussions.”
